Norwegian symphonic/gothic metal titans Sirenia have announced their new album Arcane Astral Aeons will arrive at the end of October via Napalm Records. It is the follow-up to 2016’s Dim Days of Dolor and will be the second record to feature vocalist Emmanuelle Zoldan, who replaced Ailyn back in 2016.

Mastermind Morten Veland commented:

“We are very pleased to present the artwork for our new album, ‘Arcane Astral Aeons’. Once more we have worked with designer Gyula Havancsák to create an artwork that renders and adorns the heart and soul of our music.

The album was recorded in Audio Avenue Studios (Norway) and Sound Suite Studios(France), while the mixing and mastering took place in Hansen Studios (Denmark) with mixing engineer Jacob Hansen.

This album is something unique to us as it is the first one we have made together with our fans; everyone who have supported our pledge campaign has directly contributed to the funding of the album and to make it what it has turned out to be.

We are very proud of what we have achieved together and we’re very eager to share it with you, hoping that you all will find it as special as we do.”

The group shared the following update on their PledgeMusic campaign:

PledgeMusic campaign update! The “Name in Album Credits” pledge options are only available until August 15th!

Additionally, last May, the band has recruited guitarist Nils Courbaron  as a full-time member:

“We have great news today! We have decided to bring our friend Nils Courbaron on board Sirenia as a fulltime member.

Morten will play the bass on our live shows from now on, so Nils and Jan Erik will handle the guitars. After Nils stepped in as a session guitar player on our last European tour, we all felt that this guy was right for our band. Initially we were searching for a bass player, but this solution turned out to be the best one for the band. Make sure to give him a warm welcome. Nils have already contributed with some awesome guitar solos for the new album. There’s great things in store folks. We will be back with more updates on the new album shortly. Summer Breeze Open Air in Germany, on the 16th of August will be our first show with the new line up. Hope to see you all there”. Here’s some words from Nils:

“When the band sent me an email after the Female Metal Voices Tour 2017 on which I was invited as guitarist, I felt so pleased and honoured! Actually, touring with Sirenia was definitely one of my best memories! Because, besides being great musicians, these guys and their music are so cool! I can’t wait to hit the stage with them again! Beforehand, I will join them this summer in the studio to record some leads and solos for the new album. And I’m very excited about that because I can tell you that the upcoming album will really be amazing and surprising! See you all on the road very soon!”
