With a new album, Bloodwork, just released in September on Equal Vision Records, Texas in July hit the road with Within the Ruins in Canada. The band announced this weekend that they’d have to leave the tour because drummer Adam Gray fell ill.

From the band’s Facebook page:

“We’re so sorry to say this but we unfortunately will not be able to attend any of the remaining dates of our current Canadian tour, due to a sudden and severe medical emergency for Adam. After seeing multiple doctors and an overnight stay in the hospital, we’re told that he will be completely okay – and will be back at the drum kit soon – but with that we need to get him back home and let him rest up for the time being. Hoping for a speedy recovery and we’ll do our best to keep you updated!”

Texas in July had already missed several Canadian dates due to van troubles, and this recent news puts into question their mid-December tour with Vanna  and Sirens and Sailors.

Texas in July tour dates:

12/17 – Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
12/18 – Philadelphia, PA @ The Barbary
12/19 – Howell, NJ @ Game Changer World
12/20 – New York, NY @ Studio at Webster Hall
12/21 – Albany, NY @ Bogies
