In the middle of their tour with DevilDriver, Revocation, and a number of other acts, both Whitechapel and Fit for an Autopsy have been denied entrance to Canada. The tour was supposed to have three dates in Canada, hitting Calgary, Edmonton and Regina. The details as to why they have been denied entry have not been talked about much, and the tour will pick up again in a few days in the United States again.

Whitechapel tweeted a post about the issue, but the tweet was quickly taken down. Meanwhile, Fit for an Autopsy made a long post about being denied entry on their Facebook page. The post read:

“Unfortunately Fit for an Autopsy has been turned away at the Canadian border. We tried our best, after getting turned away last night, by coming back today to speak to someone who could ‘help.’ Only to be turned away again. Sorry to all our friends and fan who made plans to see us, we hope to figure out a way to be back soon […] Basically we were given paperwork to cover a couple outstanding problems that were keeping us out. We followed procedures, filed papers, and still got turned away even after all of the due process. It’s been a long day”

While we await further details about why this happened, only time will tell if this issue will be reoccurring for Whitechapel and Fit for an Autopsy. Meanwhile, make sure to check out when the tour will be coming near you, so you can catch them live.
