Unsigned & Streamed: Meadows End

Unsigned & Streamed

Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week, we’re showing love for Meadows End from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Initially forming in 1997, this six piece group went through a few lineup changes following the release of their second EP Dead Calm Rise in 2006. By 2009, though, Meadows End solidified their lineup and released their full length debut Ode To Quietus the following year. Since then, they’ve been performing nonstop to reach a larger audience, while also working to finish their sophomore album. Meadows End’s sound reminds us heavily of the Gothenburg metal scene’s standouts like Dark Tranquillity and old In Flames. So without further ado, give the song “Masses Flee” from their upcoming album a listen in the stream below.

Meadows End are currently searching for label distribution as they continue work on their sophomore album. You can stay up to date on Meadows End’s upcoming plans, as well as stream more music, via their official website and Facebook page.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
