Unsigned & Streamed: One Inch Giant

Posted by on October 12, 2011

Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a new column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week, we’re excited to shine a light on One Inch Giant. Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, this four piece group came together in 2009 out of love for all styles of metal. This past August, the band released their debut album Malva, which was mixed by Peter In De Betou (who has previous worked with bands like Meshuggah, Bring Me The Horizon, Nightrage and many others). One Inch Giant’s sound will please most stoner rock fans, blending Kyuss and Mastodon’s guitar riffs with Alice In Chains’ vocals. So without further ado, take a listen to the song “Fur Of The Lord,” off of One Inch Giant’s debut album Malva, in the stream below.

Though Malva is only two months old, the band are already working on material for their follow up. You can go to One Inch Giant’s Bandcamp page to purchase Malva, while you can keep up to date on the band’s upcoming plans via Facebook.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
