Unsigned & Streamed

Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week on Unsigned & Streamed, we’re psyched to bring you Reaping Asmodeia as they come tearing out of Minneapolis to command attention.  The progressive/technical deathcore band’s first album, Poison of the Earth, is due out early next year with mixing and mastering by Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish, As Blood Runs Black).  Having already shared stages with Despised Icon, After the Burial, Periphery, Revocation and Misery Index, Reaping Asmodeia will be supporting Veil of Maya locally for two dates in December.  With a sound somewhere between Veil of Maya’s work and that of Whitechapel, Reaping Asmodeia still retains plenty of originality to stand out among the clones in their genre and make an immediate impression.  Check out the title track from Poison of the Earth in the stream below.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Until the rest of the album hits in the next few months, you can keep tabs on Reaping Asmodeia through their Facebook and ReverbNation pages.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
