Have you ever wanted to see Misha Mansoor of Periphery fight Wayne Static of Static-X while flying through the air using magic guitar powers? You have? Well you’re in luck, because Eternal Descent: Heavy Metal Heroes is now available for download in the iTunes app store. Eternal Descent is an ongoing multimedia comic series that features prominent rock and metal guitarists such as Misha, Joe Satriani, Michael Amott, and Gus G as characters in a fantasy world created by multi-instrumentalist Llexi Leon, who also composes music to accompany the comic series. In this world, a musicians axe is still a guitar, but a guitar is now an actual weapon. Eternal Descent is also probably the only comic series to have endorsement deals with musical gear companies such as ESP Guitars, DiMarzio, and DigiTech.

In the game, you play alongside certain musicians such as Misha, Satriani, and Andrew W.K. as you fight your way to hell, battling demons, zombies, and Michael Amott in order to save the world through the power of heavy metal music.
