In Flames have been at work on a new album for a while now, and it appears that they’re putting their efforts into finishing it 100%. The band recently put the kibosh on all summer plans without much clarification as to why, though presumably it’s because of the new album. The band doesn’t seem too beat up about the cancellation though and have the following update:

 “The new #inflames album will be out this fall. Sorry for the wait, but let me tell you…it is well worth it. This is our best yet. #If2014 …and to give you even more to think about, the #SC and #IF2014 is significant for the new album. Very much indeed.”

If nothing else, we get a rough estimate as to when the new album will be out. Also, the band’s website has been blacked out, displaying only the image seen to the right that looks a little bit like the logo for the Toronto Maple Leafs with an eleven on it (or maybe that’s just me, I don’t even watch hockey). The new album will be the band’s eleventh studio album, following up Sounds Of a Playground Fading from 2011.
