Certainly good news to kick off your day with. After numerous attempts to deny his bail, Randy Blythe has reportedly been released from prison in Prague, Czech Republic. Czech website Blesk.cz states that the Lamb Of God singer boarded a direct flight to New York earlier this morning and is expected to land on U.S. soil this afternoon.
So what does this mean in regards to Blythe’s charges? While details are still a tad hazy, Blesk.cz also claims that his release indicates that he’ll be able to avoid criminal prosecution. According to previous statements from Blythe’s attorney, though, the singer may still have to return to the Czech Republic to face trial. Either way, Lamb Of God confirmed that their bandmate is returning home with a short but sweet tweet.
Obviously more is developing in this story. However, after seeing Blythe spend over a month in jail abroad, we’re just happy to hear that he’ll finally be coming home. And we’re sure that’s how most of the metal community feels as well.
