pearl jam squareIt’s been 3 years since we heard anything new from Pearl Jam with the release of Lightning Bolt back in 2013, but it took two years of writing before the band was ready to hit the studio. After all this time, it is natural that many are wondering what the band will do next and when we are going to get more music. Now it seems like the band is at least talking about the idea of talking about a new album.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, bassist Jeff Ament addressed the topic of releasing a new album saying the following:

“I think there’s talk of getting together and throwing some ideas together. There’s no plan of making a record yet… It’s just in the planning stages and everyone deciding when the time is. Usually it just takes somebody to call somebody else and be like, ‘Hey, do you want to go into the studio next month?’ And that just hasn’t happened yet.”

It will probably be a while before the band decide to start their writing process as the band already have their Spring planned with their North American tour which includes their performance at Bonnaroo so while you wait patiently for them to get some new jams going, make sure to catch them during their tour at any of the following dates:
