Updates

There are a lot of bands that issue exhaustive updates on the recording processes of their next album, shooting videos with updates, showing the monotony of tracking instruments over and over again, and giving a preview of a track or two. And then there’s Queens of the Stone Age. The status on their Facebook page simply says “recording.”

The band’s long-in-the-works sixth album will be their first since 2007′s Era Vulgaris. It was initially supposed to be released in 2011. Instead, the band re-released their first album and went on tour playing it. Not much is known about the new album or when it will be out, but given the legal drama that he’s been going through with his former band Kyuss, frontman Josh Homme is probably be relieved to be out of a courtroom and in a studio once again.
