It’s been a relatively dramatic few weeks following the dispute between Victory Records and Spotify, beginning with the label’s entire catalog taken down from the streaming service. Just last week, a leaked document brought up the possibility of laying off staff and dropping artists from their roster. The dispute regarded Spotify not paying publishing royalties to the label, which apparently represents 70% of their income and, while Victory tried to resolve the issue amicably, the streaming service took actions and pulled the record label’s music.

All of that seems to be left in the past, as the label just announced the restoration of their catalog on Spotify:

This is great news for everyone, especially those signed and working for Victory Records as they’re not facing an imminent termination if this issue wasn’t resolved. It’s not clear what the terms were for the service to restore Victory releases, but we’re assuming that if it wasn’t in Victory’s favor, they probably wouldn’t be tweeting about it. Regardless, get to your Spotify account and start blasting some of the label’s bands to celebrate what’s presumably Victory’s victory.
