We haven’t heard much from At the Drive-In since July, when their long-awaited comeback tour was very suddenly cut short following a vocal issue with singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala. However, today they returned with a new track, “Governed By Contagions,” from a forthcoming album. There’s no further information about when the album will be out, but it appears that it will be on Rise Records. The song, which is available for free download at the band’s web site, sounds like where the band left off in 2000 with Relationship of Command. It’s almost as if The Mars Volta never existed. The album, which is still untitled, was co-produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Rich Costey (Muse)
