Band walks off stage at Puddle of Mudd show in England

wesIt looks like Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has brought the crazy overseas, as last week in Doncaster, England, his whole band walked offstage mid-show. Once again, Scantlin repeatedly accused a guy of stealing his house, and it must have eventually gotten to the band, as they bailed on him, leaving Scantlin seated onstage for an awkward amount of time. It’s unclear how long the beleaguered frontman remained onstage after the band walked off, but the 3 1/2 minute clip online shows a crowd starting to heckle him as lights come up and music plays over the house system. This is different from the band’s January show when it was Scantlin that walked offstage after accusing an audience member of stealing his house.

While rockfeed.net says that the entire band quit, that appears not to be the case, as setlist.fm says shows that their tour continued on to Wales, Scotland and London with the band not only playing with Scantlin, but playing the entire set each night. The YouTube clip alleges that Scantlin was drunk, and while it’s not explained why the band walked offstage – or how many songs had been played before that happened, something definitely appears to be not right with him, as he repeatedly tries to speak into the mic, which is cut off. Scantlin remains the only original member of the band, whose remaining lineup joined in 2014.
