On March 3, guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Berkleemusic (Berklee College Of Music’s Online Continuing Education Division) will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the largest online guitar lesson. Fans from all over the world can watch the live webcast online (partnered with Livestream) and learn tips, techniques and skills from groundbreaking guitar player and Berklee alum. And to help spread the word about this special event, Vai and Berkleemusic have enlisted the support from another “influential” guitarist: Spinal Tap’s Nigel Tufnel.

Fans of This Is Spinal Tap will specially love seeing Tufnel (played by actor Christopher Guest) awkwardly promote the live webcast and make fun of Vai’s “brilliance.” Nigel’s commercial for the “World’s Largest Online Guitar Lesson” can be seen above, while more information about the event can be viewed online.
