Over the past 20 years or so, Clutch have built up a devout fan base. Devout enough  to painstakingly animate a video for “The Wolfman Kindly Requests” over a period of months, even. Fan Curtis Hein worked on the video without any input from the band, and it came out amazingly well. An animated version of Clutch playing the song looks surprisingly like the band (well. actually, the band look a bit slimmer than they are. but there are plenty of true-to-life details in the crowd, like the 9:30 Club shirt that Neil Fallon is wearing and old guys in the crowd. And given the title of the song, you might imagine how the song ends. In all, it’s extremely impressive.

The video will be on the deluxe edition of Earth Rocker that’s coming out on June 10th. In addition to the album and two additional tracks, it will include live versions of the entire album,  and a DVD of a live concert filmed in Denver on 11/14/13, and two videos for “Gone Cold” and “Crucial Velocity,” both filmed by Aisha Tyler. You can preorder the album here.
