Earlier this year, Metal Insider went on a super-secret mission we couldn’t talk about at the time. At nearby studio The Machine Shop, Clutch was putting the finishing touches on their new album, Earth Rocker. The band and their label Weathermaker chartered a bus from New York to bring a handful of journalists, radio programmers and label peeps to hear six songs from the album. While there aren’t any full songs on this video preview the band released, you can hear snippets of some, which should give you an idea of what the album will sound like when it’s released in March (spoiler alert, it sounds pretty fucking great). If you look closely, you can even see a few Metal Insider staffers in the clip. Watch for a live version of the title track recorded at the Machine Shop to pop up at the band’s new website, earthrocker.com, on December 24th.
