The trumpet trombone looks like a relatively easy instrument to play. At least Earth, Wind and Fire make it look that way. It turns out that it might not be as easy as it looks. That’s the lesson Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich learned last year backstage with the Soul Rebels, the brass band that opened for them at their 30th anniversary shows last year at the Fillmore. The band also performed at this year’s Orion Festival. No word if Lars blew (with) the band backstage there as well.
