While they’ve been making a name for themselves in their home country of Germany for over a decade now, Xandria’s sixth album Sacrificium marks a major first for them. Namely, Sacrificium marks the symphonic metal band’s first album with Dutch singer Dianne van Giersbergen (also of Ex Libris). Worried how Xandria will do with yet another new singer in the fold? Well, after you check out the video for “Nightfall” above, you’ll realize you needn’t worry. In other words, Xandria still deliver over the top, epic symphonic metal.

Watch the music video for “Nightfall” above. Sacrificium comes out in North America on May 6 via Napalm Records.

Why do vocalists have a thing against using microphones in music videos?? They all look ridiculous without them b/c they don’t know what to do with their hands besides make silly, overly-dramatic movements.
