Here’s another Foo Fighters song, “Sunday Rain”

Posted by on June 23, 2017

This was a big week in the world of Foo Fighters. They announced their new albumConcrete and Gold, and also a music festival, the Cal Jam 17, coming on October 7th. That’s in addition to the two new songs that have been played live in the past week. Now that three tracks of the 11-track album have been played live, they took the opportunity to debut a fourth.

“Sunday Rain” features drummer Taylor Hawkins on vocals. The band debuted the song in Latvia a few days ago, and it’s more of a midtempo jam that’s got a much more of a slow-burning groove than a lot of the  band’s other stuff. Featuring some nice Hammond B3 organ and Fender Rhodes, the nearly-seven minute song almost wouldn’t sound out of place on a Tom Petty album,

Concrete and Gold will be released on September 15th on Roswell/RCA and can be preordered here.
