It used to be pretty easy to identify Job For a Cowboy’s genre. The Arizona group started out as a straight up deathcore band. Yet they’ve become a little more traditional death metal on subsequent released. However, the group has a much more pronounced prog influence on their fourth album, if the song “Sun of Nihility” is any indication. It’s not like you’re going to mistake the guys for Opeth, at least vocally, but there’s definitely some amazing instrumentation on the track. The band just released the song, taken from their forthcoming album Sun Eater, earlier today. They also revealed both the single and the artwork for the album, which will be out on November 11th on Metal Blade. You can pre-order the album here.
