Listen To Metallica Cover Deep Purple’s “When A Blind Man Cries”
Eagle Rock has announced that they’ll be issuing Re-Machined – A Tribute to Deep Purple’s ‘Machine Head’ on September 25. The album was originally announced as a Metal Hammer compilation that will go on sale as a fan pack in the UK. Of the tracks recorded on the album, many are most excited about Metallica’s take on “When a Blind Man Cries,” a track initially recorded during the Machine Head sessions, but only released as a b-side to “Never Before.” Metallica’s take is above, and we’ve included the original version for posterity’s sake, which you can find after the jump. Here’s the track listing of Re-Machined:
“Smoke On The Water” – Carlos Santana
“Highway Star” – Chickenfoot
“Maybe I’m A Leo” – Glenn Hughes, Chad Smith, Luis Maldonado
“Pictures Of Home” – Black Label Society
“Never Before - Kings of Chaos (Joe Elliott, Steve Stevens, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, Arlan Schierbaum)
