On Monday (26), Metallica gave Howard Stern Show fans a treat in the form of premiering a new song, “Moth Into Flame.” The following night, they gave the song it’s live debut at their Webster Hall show. Last night, they played the song live for the second time in front of a national audience on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The song sounds great live, and it’s probably the heaviest the Tonight Show has sounded in years. The light show was pretty impressive, but the relatively small stage didn’t  give the band much room to do much more than concentrate on the performance.

However, that wasn’t the only metal moment on the show, as Margot Robbie, aka Harley Quinn, aka the host of this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, was the main guest on the show. Fallon asked if she’d ever gone through a metal phase, the 26 year-old Australian actress said she had. She said when she was 14, she dyed her hair and listened to Silverstein and Bullet for my Valentine. She then said that a Slipknot concert was the best show she’d ever been to. “It’s just an amazing performance,” she said. “Even if you don’t like metal I think you’d appreciate it, because it’s incredible to watch.” She said she was more recognized at the Slipknot show. And if that wasn’t enough metal, Vice President Joe Biden was also on the show.
