Despite being around for well-over thirty years and considered the largest metal band around the world, Metallica just recently performed for the very first time in Beijing. Here’s what we know from this once-in-a-lifetime performance:

Due to Chinese government censorship, Metallica was restricted from performing “Master of Puppets” and “Hardwired.”

The band broke in another Hardwired… song, this time “Confusion.”

Pianist Lang Lang, who performed with the band at the Grammys a few years back, joined them for “One.”

We managed to find a few snippets of fan-recorded footage from this show already. Videos include a brief clip of “Confusion” from far away in the venue and a snippet of “One” with Lang.
