It’s been over a decade since System of a Down have released an album, but if you’re an older person, you were only middle-aged when they released Hypnotize. That doesn’t mean that the fine people in the latest Fine Brothers Entertainment installment of “Elders React To…” series have heard of them. As frenetic as SOAD are, they take some getting used to. You might not expect the olds to react to them with appreciation, and for the most part, they don’t. “You want me to spend money to see these people? I wouldn’t give them a penny,” one man, who’s apparently 94, says in the video.

Many of those interviewed seem fine with admitting that while System of a Down’s music has merit, they’re not about to listen to it. A few actually appear to like them. several, once told what the band’s mission and lyrics are about, are slightly more on board with the band. You get the sense that a few of the senior citizens are open-minded enough to have been into rock and roll back in the day and want to give them the benefit of the doubt. But not the guy that says the last time he did this, it was for the band  “Slingknot.”
