We’ve heard from plenty of ladies that their dream guy is Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. He’s got a swagger and attitude about him that many find irresistible, not to mention his band (and Kyuss) are pretty good. That swagger isn’t necessarily in effect on an upcoming episode of Portlandia. In the episode, which will be airing later this week, Homme plays a gay man in the sketch “Disappointing Gay.” It’s pretty funny, and not really what you’d expect from the singer. He actually shows a bit of range in the role, so when he’s not acting like he’s on the bender of a lifetime, he can also act like the boyfriend of Carrie Brownstein’s brother.

The episode will air this Thursday (17) on IFC.
