Influential hardcore/post hardcore label Revelation Records celebrated their 25th Anniversary this past weekend with a four-day anniversary show at the Glass House in Pomona, CA. A special guest on the fourth day had been highly rumored to be Quicksand, a rumor that turned out to be true. The band’s first release was a four song EP on Revelation in 1990. They then moved to Island/Polydor, where they released two albums before breaking up in 1995. They reuinited  1997 before finally breaking up in 1999.

Given the band’s New York lineage (frontman Walter Schriefels formed the band after Gorilla Biscuits broke up), it would make sense for them to at least do one reunion show on the East Coast. Although the reunion was apparently just a one-off, considering how quickly it came together, it wouldn’t be too surprising if they did a surprise reunion in NYC, although that’s likely dependent on bassist Sergio Vega’s commitments to Deftones. Meanwhile, check out some fan-filmed footage of “Fazer” and “Dine Alone.”
