When Refused played New York last night for the first of two shows at Terminal 5, they were joined by Sick of it All vocalist Lou Koller to cover the band’s “Clobberin Time” and “Injustice System.” While NYHC hardcore legends SOIA were peers of Refused, since the Swedish band broke up in 1998, their influence has continued to grow. As Refused vocalist Dennis Lyxzen remarked from the stage last night, it’s amazing to see a band whose last show before breaking up was a basement show in Harrisonburg, VA in front of 45 people return to the East Coast for the first time since then in front of such a rapturous crowd. The band (and Koller for that matter) seemed super psyched to be playing, as can be seen in the above video. For any fans of punk or hardcore, you’d be advised to see the band when they do their first proper tour in 14 years this summer. Set list after the jump.
