Sometimes it’s funny how things work out: Thrash metal legends Slayer and the Rock in Rio festival have been around pretty much for the same amount of time, but this year marks the first time these two collided. And collide they did.

The Rock in Rio festival has had a great lineup from the get go, even back in 1985, during the first Rock in Rio festival ever, they were able to book Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne. So it seems almost odd that it’s only 28 years later that Slayer should be on that list as well. The good thing about that though: the band took the opportunity to take the excited audience of metalheads through a rundown of their entire career with a thirteen-track-setlist.

The crowd seems to be going wild during the entirety of the Rock in Rio-newcomers’ set. Make sure to check out the video above for some twenty minutes of their show. And just in case you were wondering which song they finished their first Brazilian festival experience with, just scroll down and click play for some “Raining Blood” awesomeness.
