hatebreedconcretecdHatebreed have been around for well over 20 years, and they’ll be back with their seventh album, The Concrete Confessional, next month. So how does a hardcore band stay so focused and angry after two decades? If you’re Jamey Jasta, instead of writing about persevering and standing up for what you believe in, as many hardcore bands do, has expanded his worldview, and is angry about the downfall of the American dream. That’s the focal point of “A.D.,” which kicks off the band’s forthcoming album. Debt is the new slavery, civil liberties are at stake, and leaders remain as corrupt as ever. That’s some hardcore reality right there. We touched on this when we caught up with Jasta earlier this week, and you’ll be able to read that interview next week. In the meantime, follow along with this lyric video.

The Concrete Confessional comes out on Nuclear Blast on May 13th. It can be pre-ordered here, and you’ll get an instant grat download of “A.D.”
