And that’s a good thing. Vancouver’s Bison B.C. are set to release their fourth album, Lovelessness, on October 22. The band lead with “Anxiety Puke/Lovelessness,” a nine-minute slab of awesomeness. It’s riffy, semi-proggy and more ambitious in scope than what the band’s done before. Some of that might be due to Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Yob, Pelican), who produced the album in Chicago. While the album only has six tracks, it’s hard to imagine a track other than this one being the centerpiece of it. You can pre-order the album here.

Track listing is:
“An Old Friend”
“Anxiety Puke/Lovelessness”
“Last and First Things”
“Blood Music”
“Clozapine Dream”
“Finally Asleep”
