Oh Woodstock ’99. Three days of peace love and music that turned into fires, looting and rape.  Way to embarrass yourselves, Generation X.  But before Limp Bizkit told the crowd to break stuff and the Red Hot Chili Peppers responded to some fires by playing their cover of Jimi Hendrix’ “Fire,” there was Collective Soul. I guess the radio-ready rock of songs like “Shine” (shyyeah!) and “The World I Know” weren’t enough to get 199,000 kids and the occasional hippie that was at the first Woodstock going, so they pulled out the heavy artillery. Yeah, Collective Soul covered Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.” Surprisingly, they don’t totally ruin it, but at the end of the day, it’s still Collective Soul covering Ozzy.
