So we never heard of Give Zombies the Vote until earlier today, but they just got our vote. Legend has it that their singer got hammered, came home, and decided to make a video of their song “Black Hole” by lip synching it to his cat, Bill Murray. According to  Reddit, his band members decided to post it without telling him. It seems a little fishy to us, in that he doesn’t seem all that drunk, and it kind of reeks of being an intentional viral video. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter, because a) the cat’s adorable and has the patience of a saint b) the song isn’t terrible, and this is way better than an uninspiring “lyric video,” and c) it worked regardless because people (including us) are writing about it. But it’s definitely not as authentic as this drunken cat video. Also, props to a band called “Give Zombies the Vote” launching this video the day before the presidential debate.
