Reunions, We're Gettin' The Band Back Together

Back in August, each member of A Perfect Circle kept using Twitter and/or Facebook to tease fans about the supergroup’s return. Well now it’s official: A Perfect Circle, the group led by Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Puscifer) and Billy Howerdel (Ashes Divide), is returning from hiatus.

The band will embark on a five city tour and will also perform on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 27. While exact dates have yet to be revealed, the band has not only announced the cities, but also what they plan to perform. The band will perform three nights in Tempe, AZ (Marquee Theatre), Los Angeles (Avalon), Seattle (Showbox at The Market) and San Francisco (The Fillmore) and will also see them perform one of their three albums (Mer de NomsThirteenth Step and eMOTIVe) in its entirety on each night. Then the band will perform two nights in Las Vegas (The Pearl), where the band will perform Mer de Noms on one night and Thirteenth Step on the other.

Now that we know what exactly A Perfect Circle has planned, the next obvious question is who will actually be in the band. Well, using their old pal Twitter, it’s been revealed that the lineup will consist of Keenan, Howerdel, Josh Freese, James Iha, and Matt McJunkins (bassist from Puscifer and Ashes Divide). After revealing who is making up the lineup, the band released the following tweet:

“Jeordie, Paz, and Troy all have awesome stuff going on that they couldn’t step away from. But all is well with them.”

So there you have it. A Perfect Circle is officially back from hiatus. We will keep you informed when more is revealed about exact dates and on-sale ticket information.
