I don’t know why I would expect anything short of spectacular from something bearing the name of Maynard James Keenan, but how interesting could a wine documentary be? The trailer for Blood Into Wine, the previously announced, mysterious documentary about the Tool frontman’s Caduceus Cellars venture is available below.

Among the things we didn’t know: It’s seemingly a half-real, half-almost-mockumentary, as several high-profile alternative comedians appear in the trailer, including Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, Bob Odenkirk and Patton Oswalt. The first part of the trailer makes it look like the film has a lot of Keenan acting and fielding staged, terrible questions from celebrity interviewers like Milla Jovovich as a gag.

We have no idea what’s going on, and we’re really worked up over something we kind of forgot about. So, business as usual for Maynard.
