As the mastermind of Baroness, frontman John Baizley isn’t just a good musician, he’s also a talented artist wit ha signature style. In addition to drawing all of his band’s album covers and designing more than a handful of T-shirts, he’s also done artwork for Kvelertak, Kylesa, Skeletonwitch and many more. With Purple coming out in December, today the band released a time-lapse video of the album cover being drawn. It’s pretty amazing to watch it turn from a rough outline of a sketch into the amazingly detailed and colorful artwork, and it’s also the first look we get at the album cover.
