Slipknot’s Shawn Crahan terrifies Grammy red carpet

There’s been a lot of talk about how Slipknot will be returning this year, and while Jim Root seems content to do so from the studio, other members are being a little less subtle in starting up the pre-promotion for the band’s inevitable fifth album. Take, for example percussionist Shawn Crahan, better known as “Clown.” He attended the Grammy awards with his wife and daughter, which the Huffington Post called “disturbing” and E! Online simply called “terrifying.” And it was a bit surprising to see him there, seeing that Slipknot weren’t nominated for anything this year. But we can’t say we’re that surprised that the mainstream wouldn’t necessarily know who he was, given that there are tons of people that didn’t even know who Daft Punk was. But he’s got an adorable wife and child, so he’s at least got that going for him.
