The nominees are in for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, which takes place on Sunday, January 26th at the Los Angeles STAPLES Center. While snubbing metal seems like a tradition at the Grammy Awards, we still have one category to look forward to: Best Metal Performance.

It’s worth mentioning the general music categories have primarily excluded rock and metal. Another thing to note, Post Malone is nominated for his duo performance with Swae Lee “Sunflower” over his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne, “Take What You Want.”  It could be argued this decision had something to do with the soundtrack Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Regardless, we will most likely see some of these winnings before the ceremony airs on CBS at 8PM ET/5PM ET during the pre-ceremony, which is how we saw High on Fire win the 2019 Best Metal Performance for “Electric Messiah.”
