Thomas Gabriel Fischer really doesn’t like At the Gates

Posted by on September 2, 2014

Despite sharing a label (Century Media) and a manager (Artje Lange), it doesn’t look like Triptykon and At the Gates are getting along with each other that well. Recently on his Facebook page, Triptykon/Celtic Frost mastermind Tom Gabriel Fischer (aka Tom G. Warrior)posted a simple sentence, stating “The amount of contempt I feel for At The Gates is beyond description.” The Swiss/Swedish beef is a result of a tour that they’re supposed to be on together, which starts in December, and also features Morbus Chron. Apparently, Triptykon had been offered a headlining concert in their home country of Switzerland, which wouldn’t have been part of the tour. According to Fischer, At the Gates have prevented the band from being able to do that.

Fischer says that the band had been invited to play at a Swiss art festival, and that both Triptykon and At the Gates would have been able to draw enough on their own. He also adds that he never wanted to tour with At the Gates anyway. He doesn’t  get into what the band are doing to prevent Triptykon from playing the show, and it’s not addressed as to whether it’s the band or the tour’s booking agents preventing them from touring. Metal Sucks, who we found out about this from, provided a screen cap of the Facebook page of Fischer (click to enlarge) and you can see the tour dates below that.:
