Dare we say, Steel Panther love pussy? And by that, we mean cats! The band has started the Gods of Pussy Animal Rescue Activation! While this wouldn’t go well with the Pussy Melter, this is probably one of their best announcements yet, outside of their music, of course. In celebration of their upcoming Heavy Metal Rules tour, the comedic/glam rock giants will be inviting a local animal rescue charity to come out, set up at their concert and to solicit for donations at each stop on their North American trek. For the New York dates of the run, November 26th and 27th at the Gramercy Theatre, the band has teamed up with local animal rescue PuppyKittyNYC with other charities TBA. The group commented:

“It has been well documented that Steel Panther have big body parts. It may come as a surprise to some people that the second biggest body part is our hearts. That is why we have decided to team up with local animal charities to help them raise funds, so people have the opportunity to adopt cats. Let’s face it, pussy ain’t free.” 

To celebrate this purrrrfect charity, the band has premiered a NSFW video for “Gods of Pussy.” The track is taken from their latest effort, Heavy Metal Rules.
