Yesterday, we told you that Metallica frontman James Hetfield would be making his first-ever acting role in which he wasn’t playing himself. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, a new film by director Joe Berlinger about Ted Bundy, Hetfield is playing opposite Zac Efron as a police officer. We’d mentioned that production on the film was already underway, and today, we got a picture from the production featuring Hetfield in character. Without facial hair and in character, the singer looks, well, pretty much like a cop.
In fact, if you look at the below picture of the actual Hayward, who caught Bundy, from this article, who caught Bundy, it looks like they’ve gotten the details, down to the police uniform, to a T. it doesn’t look like Hetfield is in this for vanity. It’ll be interested to hear him act, as opposed to sing, but we’re ready.
