Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
 
Things are finally livening up on the charts. We got some of the first real noteworthy metal releases on the debuts list, and there’s more to come yet. I know there’s a few albums coming in February that I’m looking forward to hearing and writing about from Astronoid to Dream Theater. I can’t tell if January has been dragging or not, but I do know I want me some new music, and soon.
