Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

Well, kind of. There’s certainly a lot of debuts listed here list week, though the most anticipated one for the metal scene is likely Firewind’s latest album. Starset, however, is a focus here, considering how the band seems to have launched itself into the scene since they debuted three years ago. And they might have taken the top spot if not for John Mayer and AFI.
