Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with guitarist/solo artist Bobby Keller as he’s been spending this time finding different ways to stay creative.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

I have been trying to take the time and use it wisely, you know? This is the time to finish songs or write new ones and have a pile of material once this is all over with hopefully. At the same time it’s been nice getting to spend time at home and find different ways to stay creative.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

I have been listening to a lot of music! Mostly a lot of Kiss, haha. They seem to be the best to listen to when you find yourself drinking all day out of boredom.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

Me and my girlfriend are huge food nerds and we watch a ton of cooking shows on YouTube. One of the best things we just recently made was a French onion soup grilled cheese with roast beef on it. It was absolutely out of this world and I definitely recommend everyone trying something like this at least once in your life!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I’ve been playing a lot of Star Wars Battlefront on Xbox, I’ve watched all of Tiger King at least twice now, I’m currently reading Jon Zazula’s book which is so killer!, and I’ve been reading some comics off of my iPad as well! It makes me feel like I was a kid again!

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

The best advice I have right now is to just try and stay as positive as you can. The crazy thing is, we are ALL in this pandemic, and no one is alone. Be kind to your fellow humans and we will all get through this together! Stay safe everyone and see you on the other side! Heavy Metal forever!
