Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Creeping Death’s Trey Pemberton as he’s been spending this time playing a lot of Call of Duty.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

Lots of Call of Duty, playing guitar, jogging and reading. I’m lucky enough to still be working right now so that fills up my time as well.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

I have a playlist on Spotify generically named Trey P’s favorite metal tracks that I’ll shuffle when I can’t figure out what I want to listen to. It’s got like over 2,000 songs and 140 hours of Death Metal, Thrash Metal etc so it keeps it fresh from time to time.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

I definitely cook way more at home now which saves me a lot of money honestly. I don’t eat meat so it’s a lot of pasta, rice, beans and vegetables. If I’m lazy which is like 75% time I’ll just make some junk food vegan nuggets/patties etc in the air fryer too.

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

My family and I honestly watch way too much TV so I’ll spare you a list of the 100 shows and movies we’ve finished. One thing I will mention is The Last Dance which is a 10 part sports documentary about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. I’m a huge sports fan so it’s definitely a scratch that itch sports usually fills for me.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Probably to just take care of one another, be nice, and be empathetic.
