Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Slit as they’ve been spending this time working on new music.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

We’ve been mostly just working on new music and when we’re not doing that, we’re typically working or skating/playing video games.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

Definitely, some of our favorite artists like Bring Me The Horizon, Alpha Wolf, and Twenty One Pilots have put out some great music during quarantine, as well as our great friends in Be//gotten and Bloodline, and even Lil Lotus who is featured on our new EP put out some great music on his own as well as with his band If I Die First.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

Mostly just soups and beyond burgers which is mostly just our bassist Keegan since he’s the only one who really cooks.

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

We love watching stuff like The Office, Family Guy, American Dad, King of The Hill, and Futurama in terms of tv shows, but as far as movies go, we love horror movies like the original Child’s Play, Friday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, and other serial killer classics. We also definitely get down on some Call of Duty and Super Smash Bros.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Definitely try to stay as productive as you can during all this and try to express whatever creativity you have as much as possible, or even find new ways to be creative so you’ll know that you spent your time wisely and have something to show for it, as opposed to just sitting around and not doing much.
