Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Sojourner bassist Scotty Lodge as he’s using this time to experiment with fusion meals and playing games with his friends.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

Mostly music or games. Got some exciting projects coming up that’ll be unleashed to the world, and when I’m not doing that I’m playing games with my friends!

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

Music in my house is pretty much on from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. A lot of varied stuff from punk to deathcore. Varials latest album “In Darkness” and Dealer’s newest EP “Saint” are in my heavy rotation at the moment.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

I recently made a fajita stir fry. Sounds weird but it was amazing. Love me some fusion!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I recently rewatched the Pirates of the Caribbean films, guilty pleasure, thanks to Disney+ (my childhood in a one convenient place) along with Tiger King and Community. Game wise, I’ve been playing too much Call of Duty along with Death Stranding, Ghost Recon and Far Cry to name a few.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Do what makes you happy! And don’t let society pressure you into achieving something like “learning something new”. This is a really difficult, strange time, so if you want to spend it trying to relax and just chilling with games and movies that’s OK!
