New & Noteworthy is a weekly column in which we highlight some of the newest rock and metal releases coming out each week. Fortunately this is a bit of a short week for me, as I’m down in Florida for a work trip this week and didn’t bring my laptop. This week brings new music from Beast in Black and August Burns Red. You can check out the last New & Noteworthy, and the latest sales numbers in Metal By Numbers. Be sure to follow us on Spotify to get this month’s New & Noteworthy Playlist, updated every Friday with the newest metal releases.

New Releases

Beast In Black, From Hell With Love (Nuclear Blast)

In just two years Finnish power metal band Beast in Black returns with the follow up to their 2017 debut Berserk. Like their first album, this too was recorded at guitarist/songwriter Anton Kabanen’s Sound Request Studio. So far they have release music videos for the two songs “Die by the Blade” and “Sweet True Lies.” The band will be touring Europe through March, but are unlikely to hit North America in the near future. From Hell With Love will also be available on vinyl.

The Phantom Sessions EP is the newest release from Pennsylvania metalcore band August Burns Red. Including their cover mashup of music from The Legend of Zelda video game franchise.
