New & Noteworthy is a weekly column in which we highlight some of the newest rock and metal releases coming out each week. This week features a new album from Apocalyptica, but that’s about the extent of it. For last year’s last set of new releases you can check out the last New & Noteworthy, and for the latest sales numbers Metal by Numbers. Be sure to follow us on Spotify to get this month’s New & Noteworthy Playlist, updated every Friday with the newest metal releases.

Happy New Year, I’m back! It was a wonderful winter holiday season, albeit not soo much for new releases, but a good few weeks for me no less. We’re starting off the year slow with new releases, as to be expected, so here’s a list of all those dank 2019 (and other year related) lists to keep you occupied: Stories of the Decade, Top 225 Albums of the Decade, Top 10s of 2019 by ME, Matt, Bram, Jeff, and Zenae, top 10 cover songs of 2019, Zenae’s top 10 concerts of 2019, Jeff’s top 5 black metal releases of the decade, top albums of the decade from Pär Sundström (Sabaton), Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (Sólstafir), Scott Taysom (Cloak), and Markus Vanhala (Insomnium/Omnium Gatherum), and there’s probably some other ones I’m missing that you can probably find.
