Posted by on March 9, 2015

briggsBetween the Buried and Me are currently working on their follow-up to 2012’s The Parallax II: Future Sequence. With the band one of the headliners of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, we caught up with the band’s bassist, Dan Briggs. And while we’ll get to that full interview at a later date, in the wake of both Parallax albums, we asked Briggs what his favorite concept albums were. “I can’t name five, because for me, it’s almost like naming my five favorite records of all time,” he says.

The first concept album I fell in love with, I saw performed live the other day, which is Cursive’s The Ugly Organ. That record came out more than ten years ago, but they’re just getting around to celebrating it now. It was incredible.
